And - Or: Preferably a good quality digital image of your featured product(s), preferably with plain (white) background - although jewellery looks great on rich dark colour backgrounds, also in .jpg format.
And - Or: Preferably a good quality digital image of the principal sales person, or proprietor on plain background (not necessary - but highly recommended for trustworthiness, and for establishing a personal connection), also in .jpg format.
Or: Standard, glossy 6" x 4", good quality colour photograph of your place of business (inside or outside - whichever is the most attractive).
Or: Standard, glossy, good quality colour photograph of your featured product(s), preferably with plain (white) background - although jewellery looks great on rich dark colour backgrounds - as close to the desired size as possible. Digitally reducing photos to the required size always results in loss of quality.
Or: A passport-size, glossy, good quality photograph of the principal sales person, or proprietor on plain background (not necessary - but highly recommended). This can often be cropped from a good quality larger photograph, if background is ok.
Text of your advertisement and company description preferably in digital format (.txt; .rtf; .doc) via email, or in printed format by letter.
A good quality digital (preferred) or printed copy of your company logo or letter head.
Name(s) of the principal(s) - [not necessary, but highly recommended].
The address of your place of business, telephone and fax #.
e-mail address - if available.
Hours of business.
Deadline: One week before listing, latest.
Payment: prepaid with order - cheque, or money order.
Please Note: When taking your own pictures of the interior of your place of business, make certain you have several bright light sources in different spots for best results - even on a bright sunny day. And also consider borrowing, renting or buying some indoor flowers, shrubs, and/or hanging baskets if you don't have any. You want your place to be as attractive as possible. For professional interior images look at interior images in "Home Decorating" magazines for lighting, flowers, and other pleasing accents (candles, fruit, place settings).
max 80.000 pixels: this size page - as our 'standard' sample pages - will take about 15 seconds to download from the web (at dial up modem speed of 56.9Kb - still the most common modem around) onto viewers computer screens. We recommend very strongly against 'heftier' pages than this, as many studies have shown again and again that people become annoyed when having to wait longer than 15 seconds for a page to download, and will most often 'go' elsewhere. If your web page should exceed the max. of 80.000 bytes, it is far better to break it into 2 pages, to avoid annoying, and losing your visitors.
