Substitute Faculty Positions. The Camosun College's Academic and Career Foundations Department is looking for experienced
and qualified substitute instructors to teach B.E.S.T. (Better Employment Strategies & Techniques) courses.
Qualifications:The successful applicant will possess: An academic and employment history that demonstrates a strong commitment to adult education as well as knowledge of and experience with working in community settings with diverse groups of people. In addition the applicant must be student-centered, possess and demonstrate a positive, enthusiastic and caring manner that is at all times respectful of the adult learner. Strong interpersonal and coaching skills are needed. The successful applicant must work effectively with adult learners and must work co-operatively with other departmental staff and faculty.
A minimum of three years recent instructing experience in adult career and educational planning. An appropriate undergraduate degree in adult education or the social sciences and teacher certification. Or, equivalent preparation in either a master's degree in Adult Education or other graduate education relevant to career and educational planning for adults.

Part-Time Instructors Web Design

Note this is not a faculty position. Continuing Education instructors are hired on a contract basis, course by course.
The School of Business Continuing Education department requires dynamic, qualified instructors to teach hands-on software and design courses in our popular Web Design Certificate program. Courses are 18 hours in length and normally scheduled two evenings per week (5:30pm - 9:30pm) plus some Saturday mornings.
Instructors are needed for the following courses: Photoshop CS3 for the Web Level 1 and 2. Illustrator CS3 for the Web. Graphic Design for the Web. User Interface and Writing for the Web. Dreamweaver (36 hours). Maximum class size is 14. Course descriptions and outlines can be found at

Candidates must meet the following qualifications: Current portfolio of high quality Web Design projects.
